The people behind Silicon Villas bring a wealth of tech experience from Silicon Valley and globally.
Michele Ursino was born and raised in Italy. He got his Computer Science Ph.D. at Politecnico di Milano and then he moved to United States in the mid 90s. Michele has been working in the software development industry for over 20 years covering all roles from Software Developer to CTO. He is currently Senior Staff Engineer at LinkedIn.
Brant Smith has held leadership roles in both global and start-up technology companies, and also served on the board of a NASDAQ-traded European tech company. He has shipped widely-used software features to over 750 million consumer devices (and growing). Brant started his career at the legendary Internet pioneer IUMA, considered the birthplace of online music. His great-grandparents emigrated from Sicily in the early part of the 20th century.
Layne Mosler is a California-born communications professional with a background in NGO management and organizational anthropology. She has managed projects in the telecommunications and non-profit sectors in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. She is based in Berlin, Germany.
